Surtest UCA-7 is specifically designed as a highly portable and economical

alternative to standard couplants.


Surtest UCA-7 consists of a dry powder blend of water soluble gelling agents, corrosion inhibitors, wetting agents and fluorescent pigments.


The powder forms a thixotropic gel suitable for ultrasonic inspection when added to water whilst stirring. The recommended dilution is 50gm powder to 1lt of water, through consistency of the gel can be adjusted to suit by varying the ratio of powder to water as desired. The mixture should be allowed to stand for 3-5 minutes and then re-stirred in order to achieve the desired consistency. Will fluoresce under concentrated UVA light
