Chemetall’s Ardrox 8032 is a ready to use high sensitivity Black Magnetic Ink used in the Magnetic Particle Inspection process. It is available in both aerosols and bulk. The ink has a fine particle size, mineral oil and suspending agent in a high flash. It is used in conjunction with suitable magnetising equipment to locate fine surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferrous materials. Typical defects found include shrink cracks, welding defects, grinding cracks, quenching cracks and fatigue cracks. Ardrox 8032 gives clear black indications when viewed in daylight.
Ardrox 8032 is a highly sensitive oil-based product for nonfluorescent (visible) wet method magnetic particle testing to locate fine and medium discontinuities on finished parts. It has a high flash point with good particle mobility, it uses the highest grade of particles, selected for their response to very low magnetic field strengths and also low coercivity.
