Fuji X-ray Film

Fidgeon Ltd has had a long association with Fuji Film Ltd and is the Distributor for Fuji Industrial Radiographic Films to the UK and Ireland.

These State-of-the-art, double coated films cover a wide range of applications, yielding a high image quality regardless of the material examined and the type of radiation employed, excellent penetrameter sensitivity and highly consistent performance are two important features of Fuji Film.

We stock the Fuji standard range of films, detailed below, in Non-interleaved format.

The standard range of films is complimented by Fuji IX59 which is an extremely fine grain, medium contrast ASTM Class 1 film suitable to inspect variable thicknesses of low atomic number metals and steel cast parts.

IX59 can be used in direct exposure techniques with lead screens or with fluorometallic screens

Fujifilm’s industrial X-ray film (IX Film) features their revolutionary new film technology. The combination of the latest emulsion making science and computerized manufacturing process. This process assures a consistent batch to batch performance, optimum image quality and compatibility with all NDT chemicals and manual or automatic processing conditions. The IX Film incorporates unique speed and grain technologies thus permitting their use over a wide range of applications with consistent high quality regardless of the material examined and the source of radiation employed.

The Fujifilm family of films incorporate unique speed, and grain technologies. An appropriate choice is made among the eight types of Fujifilm Industrial Radiographic Film according to the material and thickness of specimens, the kilovoltage or energy of radiation, and the required accuracy of inspection.

Low-speed, very-high contrast, ultra-fine grainless film.

It is applicable to the inspection of low kilovoltage X-ray sources, as well as inspection of higher atomic number materials with high kilovoltage X-ray or gamma ray sources. Medium-speed, high contrast, low grainless film.

Features

A very fine grain, high contrast ASTM Class II film suitable for the inspection of light metals with low activity radiation sources, and also doe inspection of thick objects with high kilovoltage X-ray or gamma ray sources. Wide exposure latitude has been demonstrated in high contrast subject applications. Although IX100 is generally used in direct exposure techniques or with Lead screens.

IX150
